G4X: Connecting the Dots (AXIS integrated Flight Display)

Yes, different. Tune in on the 8th, more stuff on the 9th. No beers for egdeltur cause no one took the bet, but someone may be eating an iPad.
Is it just on their youtube channel? Like a live youtube event? I don't see a link to a zoom or anything.

Here is my predication and I am willing to bet a good tasty Ale for it.

The new G3X replacement, whatever they are going to call it, will be slightly bigger screen but will fit into the same panel hole as GDU460 and the same wiring will work however you might need to add more wires or connection to take full advantage of the all functionality. It will have a sharper screen and of course faster processor.
It will be offered in both Experimental and certified version. The Experimental version will be more like the existing GDU460 with the added new features/higher resolution/faster processor. The certified version will include a navigator similar to 625/650, with a COM radio and possibly audio panel and even the ARINC 429 built-in to it. I also predict it will also be offered in the portrait version.

Now the kicker is the price....
It will be offered for free to the first 378 customers for their loyalty and patience, you only pay shipping and tax as uncle SAM needs its share. I predict it will be exciting.

P.S. I have already written a check with some added tips if I am on the first 378 customers :) ;)

Pretty sure I said if the new AXXIS system is the g3x upgrade I would eat my ipad. Never said that a parallel release of a g3x upgrade was impossible. sounds like 2 different things are coming. time will tell,m but suppose i need to prepare some condiments, just in case. still believe an evolutionary g3x upgrade is possoble and likely some day and based on todays press, likely now. but do not believe it will be revolutionary. still think that axxis thing is something different and likely for the certified world at commensurate prices.

My guess is a form-factor upgrade for the GDU460, but with HSDB support to talk to the GTN, XPDR, remote COM. A central HSDB hub for everything eliminates the need for redundant cabling and multiple addresses per device.

And of course, this includes the requisite higher resolution screens, upgraded processor, etc.

If it does this, it would be nice, but I can't say it would make me dump my as of yet unused G3X Touch's.

Seams odd none of these 'leaks' mention experimental at all.. this seams more something new for the general population. Unless there will be some consolidation of lines ($$$ for us).

Haha actually no one needs to eat any iPads! We can lift a beer (or six) at Oshkosh together though and revel in the time line.

"It's called Sputnik" "We know. Sit down."

I also concur that HDSB will be part of it.
