Hey all,
When match drilling firewall brackets to fuselage channels – ex: WD-1003 to F-1041-L and R, the fuselage channel web edge distances are fine, >=2D.
Drilling the holes from the flanges of the channel into the two steel bracket arms perpendicular to the web will be less than 2 diameters.
Is this a problem or a common experience and acceptable?
The photo shows marks on the firewall bracket from the assembled parts and does not reflect accurately how close a drilled hole might come to the edge. It was a marked from a weird angle.
Thanks
