Fuel vent and AN432-4D union hole

I drilled the 5/8 holes in the bottom of my fuse long ago to accommodate the fuel venting. Now that it’s time to run fittings it seems the 5/8 hole I made for my 7A is a bit wide for the AN432-4D Union piece. There is quite a bit of play. I’m tempted to use the washers meant for the side holes here but I’ll have to order more.

Anyone have this issue?

Washers

I doubt you could get two of the aluminum washers (one each side) to fit, but there are other washers that will work just fine.
Maybe two stainless washers? If the size you need isn't available, tou could drill the hole up. Note, use a step drill and cut super slow. Like count the revolutions slow.
Another option is to make two aluminum washers from whatever thickness you need.
