Fuel tank fittings

I'm getting ready to install the tank fittings and have a simple question. Looking at VA-265 and FLF-00017 (page 26IS/U-07) shouldn't there be some kind of sealant on the threads? Like Teflon tape or something? The plans don't mention any.....

It is covered in Section 5 at the front of the KAI (construction manual).
