Flaperon Torque Tube assemblg

Having resolved my wing installation issue from a couple of weeks ago, I've moved on to installing the flaperon torque tubes where I've run into my next problem: The fit of the torque tube with the F-1261s onto the A-1207-* is so tight that I'm not able to push the torque tube onto the wing tab far enough to make contact with the spacer. I noted when I was epoxying the F-1261s into the flange that the fit was very tight, end it was challenging getting a 1/8" spacer between the blocks, but it seems like the gap closed up after I removed the spacer. It takes a rubber mallet to reinsert the spacers now.

My inclination is to file down the F-1261s slightly until they slide onto the A-1207 tabs with only moderate force, but I wanted to get another opinion before doing something irreversible like that.

Thanks!

Filing the F-1261 blocks so they fit smoothly onto the A-1207 but without either force or loose play, and the A-1211 pivots slide fully into the flaperon tubes, sounds appropriate -- but the spacer between them should be 1/16" (KAI Ch. 38 p. 5). Something sounds amiss.

Hmm, I see the space between the F-1261 blocks shown in Figure 2 on page 38iS/U-03 as 1/8", and page 38-05 shows a 1/16" spacer between the end of the A-1207 and the face of the WD-01214-* flange. I'm not able to insert the A-1207 far enough to come in contact with that 1/16" spacer, so I think we agree that carefully filing the F-1261 blocks is appropriate?

You're right -- p. 3 clearly shows the spacer between the blocks should be 1/8". I looked at the wrong page. Filing sounds like the thing.
