I have 537 hr Rv-10 and my flap motor has gone out twice. Once at 534hr and the replacement pitman at 537 hr!!
Could this be the motor quality gone down from the manufacturer or possibly just some thing sticking in the mechanism that it drives (gear reducing encased , that runs rotationreducion jack screw from motor to flap drive clevis?
Some notes: I replaced
Mirror wit identical stock one:
AMETEK PITTMAN Mfr. Part #: 0000102388
Servo Motor, 12VDC, 6,151 rpm no load, 2.58 oz/in tor const, .33/14.49A
VANs does have a different part they offer now and looks exact like PH’s, a great aftermarket Vans option, but better price at PH
it would require some fab of brackets so I'm torn between trying stock motor swap( again)
at PH, it takes 3-6 hrs total JuST to acces this part .. ie Seat removal, and going deep in center console.
So any experience in this area would help!
