Firewall Sheetmetal question

Had a nosewheel collapse and a prop strike. New nose wheel is getting replaced and as a precaution a new mount too. Needing guidance if it’s needed to redo the whole firewall skin or this can be repaired with a new cutout section with a row of additional rivets and doubler in a ‘U’ damaged section. Adding pictures.

By the looks of it you also have structural damage behind the firewall. Check it very carefully.

There’s a whole lot more to this repair than firewall damage. There is some significant damage behind the firewall. Start with removing the entire firewall and go from there.

You need to speak to Vans.

But I’m guessing, looking at the ripple in the bottom of the firewall, that will need replacing, along with most of the structure behind it.

Definitely more damage than just the firewall sheet metal…and what is damaged behind the sheet is definitely structural…
