New to me RV12iS & I am having a blast flying it. Definitely have experienced the RV grin.

I need to add a fire extinguisher & wanted to see what some of you were using?

Thanks,

It also fits in the center console of a Aerosport Products interior. (Along with 2 Bose headset controllers)

I'm curious where you end up mounting it. I also fly a -12iS, and have that same halotron extinguisher left over from a car restoration. I mounted my canopy breaker tool on the aft part of the console (behind the cup holder), and haven't found a good spot for the extinguisher other than in one of the footwells. Just afraid it might be too easy to get something caught on it there, and have an accidental discharge!

I “liked” this, but actually prefer the Halon 344T extinguisher. We used Halon extensively in my previous employment and can vouch for its effectiveness and safety. I am not familiar with Halotron.

Behind the co-pilot seat in my 9A. Not the best place, but better than nothing.

Both versions of Halon went out of production in 1994. It can be recycled and reused to fill certain types of extinguishers still. All new production is Halotron, which is a better agent than Halon 1211 in that it's much more environmentally friendly.

Be sure to check the note under the Overview below the picture in Spruce (Do not use in confined spaces less than 196 cubic feet).
Would a RV-10 with 4 NACA vents open (and 2 pop open inlet air tabs in the back) in flight be considered confined space?
