Engine turnaround

I don't see it on Van's site. Is anyone aware of the anticipated turnaround time from order to delivery for the IO540 conventional vs Thunderbolt engine?

18 months standard version, 14 months for Thunderbolt. Having said that, I've been waiting for 38 months for my Thunderbolt.

Any speculation on the difference between website quotes and actual delivery times? Also, any idea if one or the other is more prompt (conventional mags, Lycoming EIS, or dual P-mags)?

What astounds me is the apparent utter lack of concern by Vans for these website claims. I'm sure they know that these claims are complete BS, but they apparently do not care. Maybe its the matter of getting you to send a deposit so they can make interest income off of it for 2-4 years. What a scam...
