We finally got the engine running 40 minutes before my DAR showed up. ECU1 on the system 32 seemed to have some issue where it wouldn't communicate with its sensors. Robert Paisley gave me the go-ahead to swap ECU2 into ECU1 slot just so we could get it started up on 6 spark plugs. I haven't adjusted the idle position for the throttle yet, and I think this first start was rough from me hunting around with the throttle for the mythical quarter-inch position and holding onto the starter a bit too long.

Lots of little tasks remaining, but I've got a trip out to Oregon scheduled to fly with Mike Seeger in mid-January to prep for the first flight.

Wow, it's been a while. Since I started the build in 2015, I've had at least three different jobs, gone from zero to three kids (7 year old daughter, 3.5 year old twins), moved houses, and on and on with all the surges of life a decade brings. I couldn't be happier with the choice to build the RV-10 and I'm itching to fly the damned thing now that the endgame is close. Don't worry, I'll go slow and make sure I'm ready.
