Engine, Prop and Avionics Update posted

Just received my payment notice for July 2025 build - first ordered Oct. 2023.

I"m going to pick up at the lycoming factory - can anybody confirm the pallet size of an IO-360-M1B?

- i'm planning on picking up in my F150 but trying to figure out if i need to remove my tonneau cover since it takes up a few feet of the truck bed.

I just picked up my TB IO360 M1B from the factory on Friday (6/6) - 3 years, 2 months and 27 days after my initial order. I was told the dimensions are 44x42x34. I didn't measure it when I picked it up but I towed it on a trailer behind an SUV. If you have the time, ask for a factory tour ahead of time. The folks there are great.

Thanks! It should fit in the back of my truck and if it wont, I’ll do as you did and get a U-Haul trailer for it! 3+ years waiting for the engine is quite a bit.

Anyone get a quote on a Superior engine lately? I know they used to be considerably cheaper than a factory Lycoming but they don’t advertise prices anymore.

Picked up the engine on Monday in Williamsport Pa. Chris gave me a factory tour as well. Had some last minute drama with Lycoming having to tear down and restart the build after it sprang a leak on during engine testing but they rebuilt it and tested etc. in a week. Ended up having to stay at Airventure an extra 3 days during the wait…the sacrifices I make for this plane…
