Anyone have any tips or techniques on how to countersink the #36 holes you drill for a #6 screw head?? The holes get tapped for a #6 screw. The number 6 countersink bit doesn't fit in the hole because the bit guide is larger than a #36 hole.

Thanks

Thanks Kyle. Considered it earlier but wasn't sure about. Doesn't make a perfect hole but good enough for a dimple to sit in. Thanks

Use the #40 countersink bit that you use for -3 rivets. Best to drill first with #40 bit, CS then drill 36 and tap. It will still work if you already drilled it, but still best to do the countersinking before tapping.
