With the help of the Vans mothership, we just discovered minor error with at least some quick build fuselage (circa 2022/23).
Speaking purely for my quick build, a forward stop is on the front of the back deck, but was cut short. I had over 55 degrees of down elevator travel (should be 20-25 degrees). I just wanted to let others know of the issue so that they can figure out what's going on faster than I did.
Instead of drilling out what's there, I'll have to add an extension of a aluminum sheet doubler beneath the existing stop (F-811D) or maybe add a small block/sheet of HDPE with 2 AN3 bolts or more likely countersink #8 screws through the existing F-811D and the HDPE block assuming there's enough room/edge distance.
Anyone out there do a HDPE or UHMW solution for the elevator stops. Overkill? or nice touch....
