Dual Dynon backup battery

I bought the Van's Dual Dynon (HDX) option in the Avionics package for my '12 (classic/original/ULS).
A most excellent flying buddy (pilotyoung) gave me a new Dynon backup battery (SV-BATT-320) that I couldn't wait to install.
I expected it to "solve" the issue where the second HDX reboots whenever there's a power blip; i.e., engine start.
I was somewhat surprised to find that the wire harness for the passenger side (MFD) did not include the pigtail for the backup battery (like the PFD harness has).
I contacted Stein (Nick Millard) and he explained that the pigtail was not in Van's spec for the harness.
Graciously though, he immediately sent me one.
Can't wait to get to The Office and get it installed !

P.S. just wondering if anybody else has installed a 2nd Dynon backup battery? As I said, I'm expecting it to solve the reboot issue. I don't "see" another battery behind the panel on any KAI depictions?

Yes, two screens, two batteries (one backup battery for each screen). If it's possible for one backup battery to power two screens, I'm not aware of it.

Yes, the Dynon SV Sys Install guide states that a battery can only power one screen and each screen needs a battery (if its to be backup powered).
I was somewhat surprised that I couldn't find any reference to a second battery instl in KAI's (particularly Sec 43B nor 43BiS/U for Dual Screen).
But assuming it's the same as the PFD, then pressing pins of pigtail into positions 2 & 23 of the 37 pin connector and drilling two holes in the panel "floor" to mount the battery should do it.

Surprised, Bob. I upgraded to dual screens back in 2016 in my first RV-12 build and I believe the backup battery may not been included but the wiring was. Installed backup battery within weeks and it never rebooted after that. They made wiring changes since then. My current plane does not have the wiring that allows the Dynon to get radio frequencies but the first did. Something about conflicts with the Garmin avionics options caused them to delete.
