I'm about ready to.match drill the longerons to the side skins. The plans have us drill, deburr and prime then before riveting the skins. Later we match drill the panel base to these nicely finished longerons. Would there be any problem setting up to match drill the panel base now, so I can have a fully finished longeron to install?
Also, to those lying awake at night dreading the longeron bending, it's not as bad as it seems. Follow the directions, and think through the whole process a few times before you start. A 2 pound, shot filled plastic hammer from the local cheap auto parts shop was all I used.
