Drilling Holes in Fiberglass

With a pilot hole, a final-size reamer did a superb job drilling smooth accurate holes in my cowl. For these #8 screws, I started with a #30 pilot hole (copper clecos fit #8 nutplates) and the #19 reamer was perfect.

Just keep in mind that any tools used on fiberglass will dull very quickly!

Is it worthwhile buying bits specced for fiberglass work? I see on McMaster they do allow filtering bits by material, and fiberglass is an option. It's a while before I'll be doing fiberglass, but I'm curious if that's worth the small additional price on an RV-8.
