double flush specifications, 21-10 step 3

Hi all,

I just finished squeezing the double flush rivets called out in 21-10 step 3 (sandwiching a bearing for the Control Column Mount Assembly). No matter how hard I squeeze, I can't get the shop head flush with the surface. I'm about 1/16" proud.

Question #1: What are the specifications for the shop head in such a case?

Question #2: Is it acceptable to micro shave the shop head to meet spec?

Question #3: Where would I find the equipment to do such shaving?

Mine ended up being about 1/64" proud. I just looked at my fuselage and 1/16" would of given plenty of clearance for me in my particular application. It depends on how many shim washers you need when installing the Control Column Mount assembly.

leave em stick up and file them in the end if you need clearance.as long as they deformed to fill the countersink they are doing their job.
