Crankcase breather

In looking over my engine installation, I noticed that the end of the crankcase breather tube is right next to the left side exhaust pipe. Are oily fumes from the breather going to represent a fire hazard? Anyone have thoughts on this?

No problem. Many, many bug smasher airplanes are configured in this manner. Some discharge into a tailpipe, some on a tailpipe, some just vent overboard near the tailpipe discharge.

Here's what I came up with:

A short piece of tube with a leg welded on. Just clamps to the exhaust with a hose clamp. Works great.

And if you are pumping enough oil overboard to create a fire hazard, you have bigger problems to deal with!
