Contact Cement Brand Name

Hello I am looking for the brand name of a glue that is like contact cement, it is harder than silicone and softer than epoxy. It is “rubbery”. The lights in my overhead had this glue around them to form an air tight seal but not a permanent enough bond that you could not easily break it loose to change them. It may be Pilobond, but most of that stuff I have used once you put it on there it’s not coming off. It’s a Clear glue with a brownish tint that you can “roll” off but still has more integrity than the contact cement you used In 3rd grade on your art
Project.

Somebody mentioned it by name on a thread here but I can not find it.

Thanks.

RDM.

I’d guess that Pliobond would be the most common type cement used. Most surely on certified world.

Two that I have used: E6000 is a clear adhesive that works pretty well. The problem is it can take up to 2 days to set properly. I recently have used Gorilla Clear Grip that bonds more quickly (like instantly) but can still take several days to completely set up. I like it just a little bit better due to its more rapid set time.

I've also used E6000 for stuff like this. It's also marketed as "shoe goo" as a product to glue the soles back on your favorite sneakers.
