Clemson Aeronautics Card 1 C-frame, Yokes, and magnetic retainer pins

I wanted to leave a review for Celmson Aeronautics. I have had their Card 1 C-frame and an assortment of their yokes for a few years now and they have been amazing. The yokes are extremely beefy and using their C-frame with my Numatx Squeezer is almost like cheating since it frees up both of my hands while I dimple or rivet with it. Recently I also got a set of their magnetic retainer pins for the squeezer. Very slick product will make the yoke changes even smoother than before. Honestly the only issue I have had with any part of this setup is my Numatx squeezer being temperamental at times. If you have any questions or want to see any of it in action you can find all of my build videos by searching Tflight77 on youtube.

Hey Tim, I Bought the Card 1 and a few yokes recently. I love that it both Dimples and Sets Rivets, I'm also super impressed with the quality of the tools. Hisham from Clemson Aeronautics is super knowledgable and Even though I'm an A&P he has really helped me get my RV14 Build off to a great start. I'm using the Pneumatic squeezer form Cleveland with the Card1 but its hands free with the foot pedal from Hisham. The work done so far is beautiful, the machine kinda makes it easy. Clemson also has a bunch of great build videos on youtube. I'll check out your YT channel Tim.

I recently received my CARD1 system too and can't wait to use it. I've been dimpling my skins on the garage floor with a C-frame because the work table I have is not sturdy enough to support the hammering required with the C-frame.

Hisham is awesome!!! After I made my order he gave me a call. I had ordered the CAD1 system thinking it was the original CARD1 and that the CARD1 was a new improved product. He called and confirmed that I wanted to rivet AND dimple. I'm glad he called, he canceled my original order and I got what I really wanted.

Also Hisham saved me on shipping. I got a couple of quotes for shipping to Hawaii and it was pretty expensive (just for the frame). Hisham made a call and found a shipper that was $150 less than the quotes I received.

I have the Clemson Aeronautics conversion kit that attaches to the DRD2 dimpler and this has become one of the most cherished tools in my shop. I am on my fourth RV build now and wish I had this tool before. I have set up mine with a pneumatic foot valve, an inexpensive part from Amazon, that controls the action of the pneumatic squeezer by foot and makes it completely hands free and with that I can dimple the skin in half the time and get a more consistent dimple. This is especially helpful on those skins that have a bent like the VS skin or the skin for the leading edge of the HS or wing. I have both of my arms available for managing the skin and I can get to the tightest places. This tool has been worth every penny and I highly recommend it to everyone that is building, even if you are in the middle of the build.

Can you elaborate some on the foot pedal setup? Pic of the Amazon part? Thanks!

A simple foot operated valve that attaches in-line to the pneumatic squeezer and frees up your hands. Coupled with the conversion kit from Clemson Aeronautic has been a game changer for me for dimpling. My C-frame dimpler has not been used even once since I got this.
