Change to RV-10 Retrofit Flap Motor?

In may of 2022, I bought the RV-10 Flap Motor Retrofit Kit as an upgrade to the older ES 85615-10 flap motor. The retrofit flap motor has the integrated position sensor.

The OP-64 document change log states that as of 05/24/2023, Part ES-FA-PA-450-12-5 is replaced with Part ES-FA-PA-270-12-5.

What are the differences between the two?

I can't say with certainty, but I surmise that both parts are the same dimensionally, but ES-FA-PA-450-12-5 has a 450 lb load rating motor, while ES-FA-PA-270-12-5 has only a 270 lb load rating. I suspect both are suitable.

The 450 is obsolete. And as Stigaro mentioned the load rating 450 & 270.

The official answer from Vans is that ES-FA-PA-450-12-5 ran too slow, so it was replaced with a faster motor (ES-FA-PA-270-12-5).

I've noticed ES-FA-PA-450-12-5 in my plane runs painfully slow.
