Fuel sender wiring

Edit...
Actually, this applies regardless of the type of sender. If it's in the access panel, it's forward of the spar.

How did you run the wire through the fuse to the tank capacitive BNC?
I was just about to terminate it and notice I ran the wire to the aft side of the Center Section. The sender BNC is on the forward side of the spar. Easy to pull it back but did you add a snap bushing in the side of the fuse?

Fuel sender wiring

Hi Larry,

On my aircraft I ran the wiring through a small rubber Grommet on each side. Thankfully Advanced Flight provided enough wiring length so that I had 2 to 3 feet of wiring outside the fuselage (click on the link to view the photo to see it looped over the gascolator).

After I installed the wings I then cut the wires to length, crimped on the 2 connectors and connected them to the the sender. Click on this link.

The wires are held together with lacing tape (which you can't see). If you are concerned you could put in a loop to give you extra length to play with down the track if needed.

Regards.

Thanks. I drilled a hole almost exactly in the same location. I ran a shielded three conductor to the EMS harness so length isn't a problem.
