Canopy layup

Can anyone tell me how thick should the finished forward edges of the layup be where it overlaps the F-1240 upper forward fuselage skin?

My fiberglass tapers down to about 1/16 inch on the forward edge.

Ours tapers to a dull knife edge. Disclaimer: we don't like fiberglass work and ended up getting the canopy functional but not too pretty and sent it off to the paint shop for final cosmetics.
