Canopy Latch Warning Light and Audible Warning

I bought a RV-12 recently. It did not have the new canopy latch or the canopy latch warning system (light on the Dynon HDX display) when I bought it. I bought the new latch and warning system hardware and had my A+P install both. I don't see any indication on the HDX for the latch warning system. Do I need to go into the Dynon setup and program it? Is it supposed to show if the canopy is open only above 3700 RPM? If so, is the RPM threshold adjustable?

Uncertain about Dynon as I have Garmin but on the G3X anytime after startup the canopy is not latched a warning is displayed on screen.

If you are running Dynon firmware version 16.7 or newer, the canopy latch alert will sound for rpm >200. Van’s issued SB 00103 with a firmware patch increasing the alert threshold to 3700 rpm for these newer versions. And I believe you will have to manually create canopy alert widgets. Not sure if there was a settings download put out by Van’s regarding that when the retrofit kit was made available, as that was well before my RV-12 time. If manually configuring one, be aware you’ll need to configure one separately for the bottom band as well as half and full EMS screens. The Skyview installation manual goes through the configuration process, if you’re not familiar with it.
