Canopy Fiberglass work

I'm at the point of construction where you create the fiberglass piece at the front of the cockpit (Section 34). I'm a little unsure of the construction process stated in the instructions and was hoping someone could show me some good photos of their construction process step-by-step to help me. Thanks. :o

Thank you John. The photos are very helpful. I see where you suggested that the sides be extended about 1/2" further to cover the gap. I'll try to do that and see what happens. Steve :)

"the gap"

I read the following from your 02-27-10 comments and thought you were referencing the area forward of the pivot bolt of the canopy frame.
"I don't understand why they didn't design the fiberglass to extend forward another 1/2 inch to cover the slot that is open forward of the bolt holes. It would have been much more attractive and I don't see any reason it would not have worked by sliding over the metal. Wish I had it to do over again - that's what I would have done, since it could always be sanded back if it didn't work." I haven't taped off the template yet on my fuselage, so I'm not sure if I will have the same issue.

Because it would not slide over the metal. It would hit the metal and then damage the fiberglass (or worse de-laminate it from the foam).
The gap is necessary to be able to open the canopy.
