Canopy Crack

I recently discovered a small crack in my canopy. I'm thinking that I will need to stop drill it to prevent it from growing. What size acrylic/plexiglass drill bit should I use?

I just use a regular 1/16" or smaller traditional drill bit. Go slow with light pressure. You WANT the spinning of the tip to create heat, unlike drilling other things. This soften the acrylic. I drilled all the initial holes in my canopy with a #40 bit and had no cracks. This was a tip in the 6 instructions. I enlarged them with a step bit.

Modify the drill or get one with the correct angle for plexiglass.
