canopy attach angles drilling

Plans call for drilling #30 thru canopy and attach angles C-1203. Then remove canopy and open up the holes in the canopy to #27 for #6 skrews. O.K. done that. But I can find no instruction to open up the holes in the attach angles or the aft canopy frame bow. They can't stay #30 and accept a #6 skrew, right? What am I missing?
