Do I need to move the pink cabin top a bit more outboard so that it's exactly flush with the skin? Maybe even a hair over so that it can be sanded to match the skin?
Or is it best to leave a little space for flox/micro to fill in and the sand to match later?
I plan on filling that small gap with microballoons and then laying a strip of 2-3oz glass over the top of that to seamlessly transition the cabin top into the fuselage.
Thanks Phil. I guess if it was flush, one could still lay some glass over the junction and forego the micro step. Not that its a hard thing to fill with micro. Thx again, Jim
Mine ended up about like that when I let it sit where it was comfy. I filled the gaps and sanded down any sticking out. The cabin cover, doors, winshield, and cowling all will fit different for all of us. Thats what makes it so much fun. Just kidding.
