Burn marks on flap spars

Hi,

I've finished the inventory of my wing kit and found some strange burning marks on the FL-803PP-L and FL-803PP-R flap spars, that look like they are from welding arcs. In one place a mark has been sanded out.
Some of the marks are deep enough, that I can catch my fingernail on the edge.
Have you ever seen this?

I would send those to Vans.

I saw similar artifacts on my RV-8 wing ribs, also assumed it was laser cutting spatter. Seemed to scotchbrite out.
