Bob Leffler

Very sad news. Bob's posts were an inspiration for me, keeping the wind in my sails when I was building my RV-10.

I didn’t know Bob, but as an RV-10 builder scouring these forums I certainly came across his name (and his face) in the forums. He was one of a handful of names whose advice I trusted above others, and he was often the voice of reason in what can sometimes be a cacophony of opinions.

Rest in piece Bob and thank you for all the help you unknowingly provided to a complete stranger over the years.

Rest in peace. Bob was always willing to help, and answer questions on my -10 build.
Very saddened to hear of this. Bob was an early client for TS Flightlines on his RV10. Bob took a chance on a guy that few people actually knew, but was a huge help in formulating the early cabin brake and fuel hose packages. Many emails, phone calls, and yes even a Skype conference, we were able to produce what is now a highly refined kit. I met Bob at the AirFlow Performance fuel injection course; his plane was the sample for doing nozzle tuneing. Bob would always stop by our booth at Oshkosh, to say hi. Bob, my friend, you will be missed by all. Sincere condolences to your family, friends and the people you have influenced along the way. Tom and Steve

He will indeed be missed, a very sad day. I think I'll go burn some fuel today in his memory.

Bob helped me directly on multiple occasions and helped countless others. Thank you Bob, I can only assume your legacy here on VAF is only a small portion of what you contributed to society and those around you.

Although I have never met Bob , he was one of the many that I respected his opinion on here. We will all miss his knowledge. Rest in peace my friend.

---I hate to see this---

Bob was great guy and he will be missed dearly. CAVU & Tailwinds.

Very sad news. My interactions with Bob go back to the early days of the RV-10 as there was a period when our build’s overlapped. I first met him in person at Osh at one of the early Scholler based, Bob Condrey hosted RV-10 dinners. He will be missed.

I also met him at one of those. So sad to lose a member of our family.

What a good guy! It's hard to believe there's anyone who ever built an RV who didn't at some point get some help or at least encouraging words from Mr. Leffler.

I will pour one out for him tonight and listen to some Bobby Bare music.

Never met Bob in person. He was a always helpful and encouraging in email and forum posts.

I'll pray for the repose of his soul and happy memories of good times for his entire family. I too, shall lift a glass.

Mike

RIP Bob. As noted, he was one of us that provided so much help.......he was an integral part of the spirit of VAF. Thankfully his legacy will remain available to us on the VAF forum.

Only met Bob a couple of times at RV gatherings at Oshkosh. He moved to AZ not too long ago and was enjoying life in the great weather. RIP Brother.
