Having accepted a deposit on the RV-9A, and seeing ads for putting your prints on metal, glass, and canvas, I wondered what might be a fun wall decoration for remembering flights when the plane has gone to its new owner. The current idea is to display screen captures off the Garmin G3X Touch, those that are reminders of interesting flights, and do something with those.

On first sort, I got down to 28 screen shots, most all of them with a story to tell. One sure fire winner is the flight where I got 215 knots ground speed in the RV-9A, another sequence is finding my way through ugly rain cells to make it to Cape Girardeau. (There was good visibility and 2,500' ceilings underneath, so I went VFR and avoided the rainshafts, knowing that climbing into IFR was always an out. ADS-B weather was a help, too). And coming home from Oshkosh one year, just off shore from Chicago.

So I don't if these will all be displayed full screen, taking up a lot of room, or if I'll chop them and just show the MFD part, or what.

We'll see.
