Best RPM sensor for Garmin G3x install

I've had a search through a number of threads but I still have some questions. Just wondering:

1. When ordering the Garmin G3x Installation Kits and Engine Monitoring Kits, does an engine RPM sensor come with it?

2. Assuming an engine RPM sensor doesn't come with the kits, any preference on which system to use?

The aircraft is powered by a Lycoming IO-320 with a CSU and two standard Slick Magnetos.

Just me

I had a speed sensor but decided to go with the alternate method using a large resistor to pick up the mag leads voltage changes. Havent flown yet.
