I have a TruTrak Gemini AP PFD (P/N 8000-150) in my RV-6A. The other evening I stayed out past sunset for the first time and was surprised to find that only some items on the panel could be dimmed. GRT Sport SX has a menu item; most everything else is automatic. But the autopilot screen seems to have no dimmer control at all. I finally turned it off completely, because of its brightness.
Now, I've gone through the Operation Manual and the Installation Manual, googled it, searched this forum... There's nothing on the wiring diagram about dimmer signal. But the unit itself has some sort of sensor in the corner.
Does anyone else have this particular autopilot and does it dim automatically using that sensor? Is my light sensor perhaps malfunctioning?
