Back country tires for RV 10, anyone?

Is it possible to put large tires for back country landing on RV10?
Does anyone have experience?

There is a -10 on VANS home field (Aurora, OR), set up for 'back country flying'. I believe mains are 8.00s with a 6.00 nose wheel (custom fork). VGs, etc, also.
