Planning on a trip to Austin to see family. Area of interest is closer to Austin EX , Georgetown, or Taylor. Would appreciate info regarding these airports, probably would stay 2 or 3 days.

Thanks for any info. Larry

Georgetown has services and city tiedowns are $5/night for up to 7 days for visitors. Taylor also has tiedown spots for $12/night but is a bit more uncontrolled (no entry gate, etc). Both are great options. Exec will be more of your “full FBO” experience if you desire that level of service, the other two are self-service. Have a great trip!

Georgetown is awesome. They usually have ramp space at the terminal (cheap nightly charge, usually waived for fill-up). Reasonable fuel prices. Cutter Aviation usually has hangar space if weather threatens. Call ahead.

Austin Exec has been good in the past, although it has been a few years since I RON'd there. Henriksen Jet Center gave us first class service with tie-downs as long as the Longhorns aren't playing, then the ramp fills. Hangar space usually available if needed. I don't know if/how their parking/hangar fees have changed, but they took care of me and KELLI GIRL at reasonable rates. Fuel is a bit pricy, so get that at Georgetown.

Taylor: Easy to get in and out of there, but I don't know anything about the services.

One other choice: Austin-Bergstrom. Not a good choice. WAY unfriendly to small GA (fuel prices, landing fees, etc).
