At long last, Aircraft Specialty Flightlines now has our update Flow transducer mounting brackets for the Bendix/Avstar flow dividers on the Lycoming 75009 steel bracket. The are available on our website, https://aircraftspecialty.com/rv-7.html, under the RV7/9 models. The brackets are for the Bendix/ Avstar installs ONLY right now, The Airflow Performance version is undergoing a minor change to incorporate it with this modified Bendix version.
As some of you know, we had an issue with our brackets and the Lycoming 75009 steel mounting bracket. There was a minor manufacturing change in the 75009 bracket that created a gap between our bracket and the Lycoming one. To temporarily fix the issue we made some shims to provide a solid mount, but or course we wanted to fix the issue, whatever it was. We did some checking with Lycoming, and after quite a wait, we found that they had not changed their bracket dimensions, but quite possibly their vendor did. So to make things fit, we had to change ours.
See the pics---the first one shows the definite gap between the Lycoming bracket and ours.
Now with all of this, we discovered that we could incorporate the AirFlow Performance version with the Bendix/Avstar version and have 1 bracket for both applications. So that will be on our next production run. We have the fittings on order and should be shipping in the next 2-3 weeks. WE will have 25 sets of these available, then the next run of the integrated bracket. The order page has a section on the hose ordering, because not everyone has the same sumps, servos and servo orientation.
Steve and I want to tank everyone for their patience with this---we know its take quite a long time, but we wanted to do it right 1 time.
Tom
