You can't put a price on peace of mind. Very nice workmanship.

With no calculations, just a gut feel:
No rear passengers, the fastened lap and shoulder belts should go a long way in restraining the seat backs and carrying the load;
With adults in back, I can't put 150 lbs in the luggage area;
But if I were contemplating a baby seat in the back, I think something like this has a lot of merit.

In UK, it is a requirement to secure the rear seats with a piece of hinge along the top of the cross-brace and to fill the gap in the middle with a piece of aluminium also secured to the seats by hinge. I have also fitted baggage restraints........
