Archer VOR location (fore & aft) within the wingtip

I waited to get the fiberglass VXI wingtips from Aeroleds, to mount the Archer VOR antenna in the wingtip. I know how the wires are routed is critical and ALL of the wiring in the wings is shielded.

I'm asking how far away from the LED's should I mount the Archer VOR?

The Archer instructions say as far forward as practical. My avionics guy doesn't isn't sure, but suggested to move it further aft away from all the Blinky lights. I only want to do this once...

Any suggestions?

If you search the forums there are many posts on Archers. Bottom line: move the antenna aft enough that all wiring goes forward of the antenna. Make sure you have a good connection between the ‘ground leg’ of the antenna and the outboard rib. Mounting the antenna to an aluminum angle which is itself riveted to the outboard rib is a nice technique - you can remove the tip without disturbing the antenna.

I searched last night before I created this thread. Yes there is lots of info.

The one bit of information I was looking for is; how many inches away from the lights is it safe to mount the VOR?

Move it aft and do not run the strobe/nav/LL wires on it like shown in the install instructions. Why poke the RFI bear??
This location provides for ~100nm VOR reception, and LOC/GS far beyond practical ranges.

Side note, the antenna in the photo is homebrew. It sticks out further into the wingtip than the Archer.
