Nearing the end of the build on my RV10.
Mounted the wings and the flaps. Found that the inboard end of the flaps interfere with the fuselage. Looks like I need to file away about 1/16 inch in some areas to relieve the interference.
Ours had the required clearance but with time I see they touch at the very end of their travel. I will give the RV-14 flaps a little more clearance from the get go.
Would like to know if anyone has put a permanent fin on the nose wheel pant? Have found that the fin keeps the nose pant straight in flight and keeps the rudder trim constant on each flight.
Yup,
It says so right in the plans. I just got excited when I mounted the wings and the flaps hit the fuselage. Didn't have that problem when I built the 9A and figured there must be some problem with my build.
Trimmed them with a belt sander and they fit great!
