Any pics of your smoke system oil pump location

Anyone care to share pics of where you chose to mount the oil pump on your smoke system in an 8? Looking at a location other than on the tank itself and thing to future cast issues
Would still like as much space in front baggage area as possible.
Thanks all

I didn’t want to lose any fwd baggage space except the tank in the lower front baggage area
Pump is mounted on the firewall to the left of my left foot. Works great and completely out of the way. Fitting through the firewall is just to the left of the pump.

One location I had not considered
Thanks for info and pics

I thought about this , but quickly decided on the tank was best option, if, as I am, you want to option to remove the tank.

I have mine in rear baggage area, with disconnects so that I can easily remove when I want to fill baggage area free. In those cases, I won’t need or want the pump taking up space while the tank is out.

We installed a 4 gallon aluminum tank flush with the baggage compartment, it is strong so can load anything on top of it. Pump and solenoid is mounted below it. The pumps runs both ways so it is filled from outside with a fill switch in the baggage compartment. Has a vent/ over flow near the fuel tank vent, very clean installation.

Nicely done. Source for tank?
Is there support below the tank?
Good work.

Thank you.
We manufactured the tank in house, it is a tight fit and well supported by the top flange fastened to the fuselage stringer and baggage compartemnet.
The aircraft has been operating with the smoke system for the past 3 years with zero issues.

Maybe I am not seeing it correctly or the installation was not finished yet but it looks like you do not have any protection (grommet, snap bushing or equivalent) for the cables going through your gearbox. If that's the case you may want to address that before having a dual smoke system on board :)

Ha ha

Ha ha, no you were seeing it correctly! The wiring was tidied up and grommets installed through all bulkheads before closing it up
