Anti-Chafing Recommendation?

Hi, I'm going through my new-to-me RV-8A. I found a couple of areas under the rear seat where there is metal-on-metal chafing. I'd like to put something between the seat and the floor to prevent the chafing. I could use something like gorilla tape, but I'm wondering if there is something better suited than that. Picture of the area below.

Anything is better than none, but I'd recommend you prime the metal surfaces at a minimum prior to applying tape. Do not use any moisture wicking tape like foam tape, as it can hold moisture and corrode. Thin rubber strips cut from something like a tool box drawer liner or similar that are glued with contact cement to the entire flange length will give you a much longer life if this piece is subject to movement.
