An extra hole on wing top skin

This hole is on the outboard wing top skin. What is it for? Its location seems symmetric to the tie down hole on the bottom side skin. Is it designed for a possible tie up 😄?

Should I just rivet it? The KAI didn’t mention it at all.

If I recall correctly, there is a 3/8-16 tapped hole in the spar directly underneath that rivet hole. If desired, the hole in the skin could be opened up and an eyebolt threaded into the spar. I believe the purpose was for the option of hanging the wing out of the way during the build process, or use it as a camera mount, etc. I never used mine and dropped an LP-3 into it at some point.

Thanks. Yes, the hole should be right above the tapped hole, although I can’t see it now. It makes very good sense then.

Glad I didn’t miss any important step before riveting the skin up.
