So, I finally took down from a shelf what I thought was gear leg fairings.
Turns out this is what I've got:
One TRIM-TAB
Two F-466
Two LGL-401
Would never have figured that out if not for the parts being marked by Vans.
Dang! Already re-did the elevator trim tab because I didn't like the previous builder's work. I guess I can re-do it again and get down to 1/32" clearance to elevator instead of my 3/16" void
F-466 actually is TRAILING EDGE FILLET. Made those myself too
LGL-401. Bingo! FAIRING, LEG 2024-T3
Drawing S-1
Cut in half for 3/4" overlap, rivet on piano hinges and trim ends.
Hopefully haven't used all piano hinges elsewhere, like on my RV-3B flap rebuild after deer encounter
I'm sure there is a moral to this story. Like, inventory all your parts and don't assume anything.
