First fitting of my Vetterman 4 into 2 exhaust, and it looks fine, except one side comes within about 1/4" of the side of the small tunnel on the bottom of my -8 while the other side is about 1" from the side.
My barely contained OCD could obsess about perfect symmetry, and maybe someday it will. Right now I'm concerned about one pipe shifting around during start and shutdown and impacting the airframe there.
I will be contacting Vetterman for their suggestions. This is NOT a cosmetic concern and also not a criticism of Vetterman. Might this be as simple as giving the finished installation a bit of a tug, or is there more than I'm not seeing yet?
