AK-450 ELT rubber gasket

If you, like me, still have a working, viable AK-450 ELT it's only a matter of time before the tiny (in diameter) rubber o'ring gasket breaks (the one that seals the battery compartment). I've seen on VAF where people are trying to get replacements. I have just received 100 of these and will be happy to send a couple to anyone that needs them.

O ring Gaskets

Offer still stands. Had many takers but I'm happy to send out more (FREE) if you think you may need one in the future.
 
Thanks to AN23 for making this offer. They perfectly replaced the torn gasket on my AK-450, couple years ago.

Do you still have any o-ring gaskets? I need 2 if you have them.
 
Sorry but medical issues grounded me an the plane and everything associated with it have been sold.
 
Send me your address I have 2 spare o-rings for the AK-450. That is all i have, can not provide for others.

Hi AN23,
I wish I had seen this earlier. Yes, my AK-450 rubber o-ring is in terrible condition. Do you still have any remaining? If so, can I get two from you? Much appreciated. Dan

Hi Radioflyer, Do you still have the rubber o-rings? I could certainly use two as my Ak450s o-ring is in horrible condition (Iv'e also asked AN23 if he has any remaining). Thank you. Dan
 
Hi Dandlac58. Ok, direct message me your address and I'll send you the of couple O-rings I have left. It will take about a week for me to get back to the hangar and locate.
 
For those that aren't aware.. O-ring cord is available by the foot, and you can use cyanoacrylate glue to join the ends. Your favorite search engine should bring it up if you use the words "o-ring cord" and "o-ring adhesive". I wouldn't recommend it for just any use but for an o-ring no longer available and for use as a moisture / weather seal it might be worth a shot. We used it in the chemical refinery I used to work at.
Pull your old one out and measure the diameter and length, then order to suit.
Yeah, I know it probably voids some TSO regulation, so use at your own risk...
