Aileron rod end bearing attachment

Adjusted the control stick/pushrod/bellcrank/aileron push rod to aileron settings.

Can’t find the drawing for the aileron push rod/end bearing to aileron attaching hardware for the 6 (need to know what AN3 bolt length, washers and order/sequence.

Drawing reference number and location on the drawing is appreciated

Measure out your length and include the nut. There should be 1 to 3 threads protruding past the nut. The bolt lengths are in 1/16ths of an inch. The an3-16 is 3/16th diameter and 16/16 long or a one inch bolt. The an3-17 is 1 1/16 long etc.

If you can measure it, you can figure out what the bolt size will be without a print.

Hey Rocky - even A&P’s get it wrong sometimes (I know I sure do…..). Bolt length is in 1/8” increments, but unfortunately someone devised a weird “base something” system for it. 3,4,5,6,7 are 3/8,4/8,5/8,6/8, & 7/8. Then, we get to -10 (10 comes after 7), but it’s not “10”, it is “1 & 0/8 inches”! -11 is 1-1/8”, then -12 is 1-2/8”. So an AN3-16 is actually 1” and 6/8” long, or 1-3/4”.

Dumbest system I have ever had to learn…..but it’s a system!

Honesty, for many years I just assumed that the length of the bolt was just the dash number divided by 8 to get the length in inches…then I looked at my bolt gauge, said “what the…..?” And researched it. Arcane system. Here’s an AN3-16 out of my stock, on the gauge, with a ruler next to it:
