Aileron push rod connection

Has anyone heard of or discussed a potential issue with the screw attachment of the aileron push rods. The plans don’t call for Loctite. I wonder if they ever work their way out. They could jam against the flaps and cause some real trouble! In view of the recent accident of Rob Hollander I was wondering.

If I recall, it is threaded into a platenut which is essentially a metal locknut. I will definitely look at these during a preflight to make sure there is no movement. It appears in your picture like the screw is not nested very well into the counter sink. Maybe you have just not tightened the screw yet…

The OP clearly stated aileron pushrod. Not the fastener that goes thru the pushrod rod end bearing. If the pushrod is of the proper length it should not be possible for the rod ends to unscrew completely. If the jam nuts on the rod ends are installed properly they will never move.

I interpret the question to be about the -10 CS screw.
That -10 screw into the platenut requires quite a bit of torque to overcome the locking in the platenut so I wouldn’t be too concerned about it. Definitely worth double checking on preflight though.

+1 ^
It also looks like the countersink may be uneven?

Sounds like it’s never been an issue but I’ll put inspection specifically on my preflight checklist
