I was fortunate to attend a build school to help assemble my Lycoming IO-540.
I worked with Eddie to take a shelf full of bits and pieces and under his expert guidance we assembled the engine in 1.5 days. On day 3 it came to life and was eventually run up to 2700 rpm to check everything out.
This was a once in a lifetime experience. If you have the chance to attend by all means do it. I know so much more about engines and how simple they are.
Aerosport does a great job and the folks working there are top notch. Thanks to Darren for his relentless pursuit of an engine. After waiting over two years it finally happened!
