Aerosport Carbon Fiber Door Sill

Has anybody installed the Aerosport Carbon Fiber Door Sills on their RV-10? I don't see instructions for installing them and the one picture isn't helping me. Do I need to do anything with this before the cabin top goes on, or is this a finishing item? How does it interact with the screws highlighted in the picture below? I can't tell if it is cut off above those screws or if it somehow covers them?

The ones they sent me, which aren’t installed yet, would not reach those screws. The cf door sill covers the top and wraps around the side enough to overlap the interior side panel.

If you are installing the plane around third latch, use nut plates for the cam strike so that you can remove it once the interior sidewall is installed. You can then place the cf door sill under the cam strike. If you do not use nut plates, you will have to cut the cf around the cam strike or remove the aluminum side wall to access the nuts for the cam strike.

OK, yeah given that the pieces are way longer than necessary I haven't fully fit them yet. But if I'm understanding correctly, as long as I use nutplates for the cam strike then I can kick this can down the road and install this much later in my build. It's always a good thing to not have to worry about something before I can fully see how/where it fits.

Yes, I haven't installed mine and Im sad to say its be over 4 years. Unfortunately, I did not put nut plates on the cam strike screws so I would need to take the aluminum side panel off to get to the nuts. If you haven't tried this task, it can be a real pita. I will likely trim the CF to go around the cam strike so I do not have to remove those screws. Putting the CF beneath the cam strike would also change the geometry by the thickness of the CF. I don't know if there is enough "slop" in the cam strike to absorb the relative height difference.
