Aeroleds landing lights power consumption drop over time

Hello everyone,
I installed the wingtip Landing lights from Aeroleds:
https://aeroleds.com/products/aerosun-vx-vans-rv-wingtip-mounting/
According to datasheet and website power consumption is 60W per side.
At power-up, I measured 4.6A @ 13.8v which is indeed 64W
Slowly the current started dropping. After an hour, i measured 1.8A @ 13.8v
which is 25W.
My measurement was on the Let itself, not at the power regulator of course.

Is this a know phenomena for Leds in general?
I dont have luminance meter to check if the illumination dropped as well.
Usually the efficiency drops as parts get warmer, so I would expect current to rise, not to drop to keep same luminance.

Thanks for your help!
Oren

Well ,
Apparently its a thermal protection mechanism, dropping the power consumption when overheating, due to a non-moving situation.
